The distinction matters: FlowSense is built for locations where traffic composition needs constant monitoring — a junction feeding real-time data into a signal-optimization system, a corridor where congestion management depends on knowing current volume, not last month’s survey. It runs indefinitely, classifying every vehicle passing a monitored point by type (two-wheeler, car, bus, truck, and further subdivisions where needed), building an ongoing dataset rather than a periodic sample.
SurveySense, by contrast, is built for defined-duration studies answering a specific planning question — “what’s the traffic volume on this stretch over a representative week” — then the survey ends and the data gets analyzed.
